A new artificial intelligence system that can generate the desired sound effect has been developed.
ElevenLabs, a prominent player in artificial intelligence technologies, has developed an AI system capable of generating explosions, breaking sounds, and other sound effects based solely on commands.
For those who closely follow artificial intelligence technologies, ElevenLabs is better known for its AI tools that can clone voices. These tools have been in our lives for a while, allowing artists’ voices to be used in different music. However, ElevenLabs’ new tool will be able to generate sound effects based on commands this time. This could open the door to a wide range of uses in various content.
Artificial intelligence has now come to sound effects.
With ElevenLabs’ new “Sound Effects AI” tool, sound effects can be generated for podcasts, movies, or games. This tool can produce sound clips of up to 22 seconds on demand and creates four downloadable clips. The company also emphasizes that it is working with Shutterstock to create a library and train its model on sound clips.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that the company’s new Sound Effects tool is free to use. Free users must attribute the clips to ElevenLabs, while paid users can use the outputs with a commercial license. However, free users have a limit of 10,000 characters per month. Sound effects are used in every area, from YouTube videos and live broadcasts to movies and social media posts. While there are already many libraries on the market containing sound effect clips for filmmakers and video game developers, most of these are not cheap. Another issue is that finding the desired sound in these libraries can be challenging. ElevenLabs offers a more affordable solution. In addition to the price, the sound effects can be customized based on your request, adding a degree of uniqueness.
