Bitcoin spot ETFs and then Ether spot ETFs by the SEC
The first half of 2024 has been recorded as a historic period for cryptocurrencies, marked by the approval of first Bitcoin spot ETFs and then Ether spot ETFs by the SEC. These recent developments have increased investors’ interest in Ethereum ecosystem tokens.
Following the approval of the Ether ETF, cryptocurrency investors have particularly focused on decentralized finance (DeFi) investments within the Ethereum ecosystem.
This morning, a whale account made substantial purchases worth $10 million on the Binance exchange. According to information from Lookonchain, the whale bought ETH, LDO, PENDLE, and SHIB. It is noteworthy that all these tokens belong to the Ethereum ecosystem, and both PENDLE and LDO are DeFi tokens.
The whale’s purchases are as follows:
– 500 ETH worth $1.9 million
– 2.43 million LDO worth $5.6 million
– 58 billion SHIB worth $1.62 million
– 103,000 PENDLE worth $637,000
In recent days, other major whale accounts have also made million-dollar purchases, buying well-known and large tokens from the Ethereum ecosystem such as AAVE, UNI, LDO, ENS, and LINK.
