ChatGPT's Paid Features Released for Free Users as Well
OpenAI announced that as of yesterday, the ChatGPT features normally available only to Plus members are now accessible to all users. These include useful features such as custom GPTs, real-time internet search responses, and file uploads.
At an event held in early May, OpenAI introduced its latest language model, GPT-4o, which garnered attention for its advanced voice mode. This wasn’t the only significant announcement from the company. It was also revealed that many features, previously available only to paid subscribers, would now be accessible to everyone. Some of these features, such as access to GPT-4o, have been available for a few weeks.
Now, the anticipated day has arrived. OpenAI has announced that the remaining features are being rolled out to users worldwide.
GPTs, Internet Browsing, File Uploads, Memory, and More Now Available to Everyone
The most notable feature among those now available is GPTs. Introduced by OpenAI late last year, this feature allows users to create personalized chatbots that serve specific purposes, known as “GPTs.”
You can now access a marketplace of GPTs created by others, which you can use. It’s important to note that while you can use these GPTs, the creation feature is still exclusive to Plus subscribers. You can access GPTs through this link or by navigating to the “Explore GPTs” section in the menu on the left when you enter ChatGPT.
The newly available features are also highly useful. For instance, the internet browsing feature allows ChatGPT to search the web in real-time to provide you with information. Other new features include file uploads and the ability to chat about photos you’ve taken. Here are all the features:

One thing to note about the availability of these features, which are typically paid, for free ChatGPT users is that there are certain message limitations imposed by the company. When you exceed this limit, you automatically revert from GPT-4o to GPT-3.5.
