Elon Musk has announced the release dates for Grok 2 and Grok 3 AI.

The AI developed by xAI, a company founded by Elon Musk, continues to grow. In a recent announcement, Musk revealed the release dates for Grok 2 and Grok 3 AI.

Founded by Elon Musk in March 2023, xAI is still a very young company in the field of artificial intelligence, but it continues to make steady progress with its Grok model and the chatbot of the same name. While xAI’s official goal is stated to be “understanding the true nature of the universe,” Musk recently shared the release dates for Grok 2 and Grok 3 AI.

Grok 2 and Grok 3 are coming.

Elon Musk announced on X that Grok 2 will be released in August. He also stated that Grok 3 will be available by the end of the year. Musk did not share technical details about the new models. However, he emphasized that Grok 3 will be trained on 100,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs.

From Musk’s statements, it is understood that Grok 2 will be a more advanced and quality-focused model in terms of training data. xAI announced Grok in November as a response to ChatGPT, and Grok 1.5 was released in March. It appears that the company prefers to advance rapidly in releasing new models. Musk is also preparing to build one of the world’s largest supercomputers for xAI, indicating that his ambitions in artificial intelligence are not driven by mere curiosity.

Grok 1.5 was launched with a context window of 128,000 tokens and managed to surpass OpenAI’s GPT-4 model in some areas. Currently, Grok is only available to paid X subscribers. It is still unclear whether there will be a free version of Grok in the future.
