Google broke its silence on GPT-4. It showcased the much more advanced conversational abilities of its Gemini AI.
At the event held recently, OpenAI discussed advancements in artificial intelligence. The biggest surprise of the event was the GPT-4o model. This AI, much more powerful and faster compared to GPT-4, seems to have caught Google’s attention as well.

This evening, Google will hold its I/O 2024 developer conference. The conference will primarily address innovations in Android 15 and Gemini. However, the surprise introduction of the GPT-4o model seems to have disrupted Google’s plans.

Gemini VS GTP-4o
The company showcased Gemini’s capabilities in a video posted on social media. In the video, Gemini engages in conversation with a human, answers questions about what it sees through the camera, and even asks its own questions. All of this is positioned as a competitor to the GPT-4o model.
The conversational ability demonstrated by Gemini is far ahead of other assistants like Google Assistant and Siri. This AI can analyze videos in real-time, identifying objects and letters. The post about Gemini sparked debates on social media, with many thinking that Google was taking a jab at GPT-4o and OpenAI. Google claims that its AI possesses more advanced conversational skills compared to its competitors.

The “Real-Time Responses” and “Stop” buttons have appeared in Gemini’s Android app. It’s possible that these features, along with others, will be introduced at I/O 2024.
