Artificial Intelligence
Google recently held its I/O 2024 developer conference, showcasing its latest advancements in artificial intelligence. The company will integrate the artificial intelligence model Gemini Nano, capable of performing tasks like text generation, into its Chrome browser starting from version 126.
Gemini Nano, which was previously only available on the Pixel 8 series phones last year, has been optimized to work in the Chrome browser. Users will be able to utilize Gemini Nano in Chrome 126 to generate product reviews, social media posts, and other types of text. The artificial intelligence will provide writing assistance wherever text can be entered on the web.
Gemini Nano
Gemini Nano’s most significant feature is its ability to run locally on the device. This enables faster and more secure data processing. It’s worth noting that the competitor Microsoft Edge’s Copilot technology operates via the cloud.
Gemini will also benefit developers. Developers can leverage artificial intelligence for debugging and application optimization through Chrome DevTools. They will even be able to receive explanations of errors and suggestions on how to fix them.
