For those who missed it, Copilot’s support for Android phones isn’t new, but previously, it was limited to reading specific text messages only. The new update expands this scope significantly. If you’ve connected your phone via Phone Link or “Phone Connection” in Windows 11, you’ll be able to access all information through Copilot.
This allows Copilot to display incoming messages on your Android phone and send messages as well. Additionally, it can access contacts in your address book and set alarms. However, note that the new feature only works when your Android phone is connected to Windows 11 via the Phone Link app or “Connect devices” feature.
As mentioned above, for the integration to work, you need to connect your mobile device to Windows 11, but you can disconnect the device connection anytime you want. To do this, simply select your account from the Settings section in the Connect to Windows app and click on the “Disconnect Account” option.
