Pindrop Announces an AI That Detects Almost All Deepfake Content

Pindrop has announced its new AI tool, Pulse Impact, which successfully detects 99% of deepfake content.

Pindrop, a provider of voice security, authentication, and fraud detection solutions, has announced its new AI tool called Pulse Impact, which can detect AI-generated deepfake voices with 99% accuracy. This AI tool operates online.

Pulse Impact claims that their system can identify any voice created by artificial intelligence. The company offers subscription-based security systems to help businesses combat deepfakes.

Countermeasures Against Voice-Based Deepfakes

Although deepfake-generated content has been around for a long time, the rise of generative AI has led to a significant increase in the presence of deepfakes online. Using popular generative AI tools, celebrities, business leaders, and politicians are often impersonated, and this technology is frequently used for fraudulent purposes.

According to Pindrop’s internal reports, millions of adults in the U.S. are aware of someone who has had a deepfake version of themselves created. These fake contents include photos, videos, and voice messages, with their increasing numbers being attributed to advancements in AI.

To address these issues, Pindrop introduced its Pulse suite products earlier this year. Pulse Impact, part of this group, will be used to respond to calls generated by deepfakes.
