As Bitcoin begins to challenge the $60,000 level again this morning, Anthony Scaramucci, the owner of SkyBridge Capital, an asset management firm that also offers investment services in digital assets, expressed his expectations for significant rises in the next six months.

“I stand by my $170,000 prediction”

Speaking on CNBC, Scaramucci stated that there is a possibility for Bitcoin to drop to the $50,000 level, but he believes that it will sharply rise afterward:

“We still love Bitcoin’s long-term fundamentals. I stand by my belief that it will exceed $170,000 after the halving. I think we will reach $100,000 by the end of the year. However, we need to overcome these challenges first.”

“FTX customers will be paid”

The famous investor reminded that FTX will pay cash, not coins, to its aggrieved customers, similar to Mt. Gox, and said, “Approximately $16 billion will be paid. Unfortunately, these payments will be in cash, and the value of cryptocurrencies was much lower when FTX went bankrupt. I believe these individuals will use the cash they receive to buy Bitcoin.”

Lastly, addressing the U.S. elections, Scaramucci criticized the Biden administration and said:

“Nearly 20 million voters use or invest in crypto. Let’s assume that 10% of these voters vote based on a single issue, and that issue is crypto. That means 2 million voters, which is crucial for tight elections. Anything can happen in 6-7 states. The Democratic Party needs to consider this.”
