The Superintelligence Formed by the Connection of All Humanity in the Future: Hive Mind (Some Examples Already Implemented!)
The hive mind, a superintelligence formed by the merging of all human minds in the future, may seem like something out of science fiction, but considering the technology we're developing, it's not entirely impossible. In fact, we've already seen some examples of it!
This mental connection, reminiscent to those who have watched the series Sense8, is a thought sea that enables humanity to become a collective consciousness. While it pushes the boundaries of imagination, rapidly advancing technology could indeed make this possible.
If you’re ready, let’s embark on a journey towards the collective mind and take a closer look at what the hive mind really is.
Let’s start from the basics. What exactly is a hive mind?
The term “hive mind” refers to a state where everyone is connected telepathically or technologically, allowing them to share their thoughts, memories, and dreams effortlessly, regardless of distance or language barriers.
It is said that when we achieve such a transcendent technology, we will operate with a collective consciousness and herd psychology. It sounds like something straight out of a science fiction movie, doesn’t it?
When we look from the past to the present, we can’t say that reaching such a level of communication is impossible.

With advancing technology, our lives have become significantly easier. Especially with the advancement of communication technologies, we can communicate over long distances with much less effort. What began with messengers and continued with letters has evolved into messages that can be delivered within seconds today.
Still, we exert some effort, however small, to send a message or talk on the phone. Yet, assuming the hive mind is real, even this tiny effort wouldn’t be necessary.
While the hive mind may not have reached the point we've discussed yet, there are close examples available.

In today’s world, brain implants are being used to facilitate various functions by enabling interaction between the brain and computers. Individuals who are paralyzed or physically disabled can move by directly transmitting their thoughts to computers or prosthetic devices.
Additionally, brain-computer interfaces allow individuals to interact with the outside world by transmitting their thoughts to computers via brain implants. For example, someone using this technology can control computer games or various devices with their thoughts.

Taking all of this into consideration, the idea of one person accessing another person’s mind doesn’t sound entirely impossible. In fact, there was even an instance back in 2014 where they did just that—they transmitted the thoughts of someone in Spain to someone in France using a computer.
Of course, there are discussions regarding such a collective consciousness.
While it’s true that we’ve built our world by acting with a shared consciousness up to this point, the idea of instantaneously transferring all our thoughts and reaching a single entity raises many concerns.
