The Chinese solar technology company LONGi has developed dust-resistant solar panels that eliminate the issue of dirt accumulation. These revolutionary panels will enhance the efficiency of solar energy, boosting the production and use of clean and sustainable energy. Here are all the details about the newly produced panels…

Dust-Resistant Solar Panel Eliminates Dirt Concerns

LONGi’s dust-resistant solar panel brings the technology of the future to today. The Hi-MO X6 Guardian module is specially designed to prevent dust and dirt accumulation, setting it apart from regular panels. The short-edge frame design used in these panels allows rainwater to flow off easily, keeping the panels clean.

As a result, the accumulation of dust on the edges of the panels is prevented. Additionally, small drainage slots inside the frames ensure that even excess water is directed away from the panels. Brett Robinson, the National Sales Manager of LONGi Solar Australia, noted that this new module was introduced at the Smart Energy Council Conference and Expo 2024.

Robinson states, “Our customers were very concerned about dust accumulation. With this module, we have completely solved this problem.” A Global Customer Satisfaction survey revealed that one of the biggest concerns for solar panel owners is the accumulation of dirt and dust. The dust-resistant solar panel, thanks to the Hi-MO X6 Guardian Anti-Dust module, has effectively addressed this issue.

This groundbreaking dust-resistant solar panel not only stays clean but also offers top-level performance and efficiency. With its back contact technology, the metal strips carrying electricity are placed behind the panel, allowing sunlight to reach the entire surface unimpeded.

LONGi’s R&D team reports achieving 6% more power compared to standard modules with this new technology. The increased absorption of sunlight by solar panels will reduce energy bills and decrease the amount of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere caused by fossil fuels.

LONGi conducted comprehensive research and testing to develop these panels. The anti-dust modules underwent over 1,000 reliability tests and more than 500 days of field evaluations. These rigorous testing processes ensured the reliability and performance of the panels.

LONGi aims to provide annual 100% renewable electricity supply by 2028 and bring green energy and green hydrogen projects to developing countries. In March, the company introduced the 440-watt capacity anti-fingerprint Ultra Black module to Australia’s residential market, advancing step by step towards realizing this vision.

In summary, LONGi’s dust-resistant solar panels represent a significant advancement in clean energy production. For more detailed information about LONGi’s efforts, you can access it here.
