It Has Been Revealed That the Samsung Galaxy Ring Can Be Used with All Android Phones
Samsung initially stated that its first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, would only work with Galaxy phones. However, it has been revealed that this is not accurate. The Samsung Galaxy Ring can be used with all Android phones.
South Korean tech giant Samsung recently announced its wearable ring, the Galaxy Ring, at the Galaxy Unpacked event held a few weeks ago. According to the announcement during the event, the $400 smart ring was supposed to work exclusively with Samsung Galaxy phones.
However, tests have shown that this is not entirely accurate. M. Brandon Lee from the channel This is Tech Today demonstrated that the Galaxy Ring also works with non-Samsung phones. According to the shared video, installing the Galaxy Wearable app on an Android phone allows the smart ring to integrate with the device.
Nevertheless, some features may not be available.
Although the Samsung Galaxy Ring works with non-Samsung smartphones, users will not be able to access all features on third-party devices. According to reports, features such as Galaxy AI and the Energy Score will not be available on phones outside of Samsung’s ecosystem. However, these limitations are not considered critical.
There are some reviews out there claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Ring only works on a Samsung device, therefore it doesn’t work on other Android devices.
